Phil Evans

​

​

is a designer and artist working in printmedia, installation, photography, video and sculpture. He teaches at the University for the Creative Arts, Canterbury and undertakes consultancy work.

Ben Kidger

​

​

is a sculptor, tutor and curator. As an artist he has completed several commissions for private and public
locations in Canterbury, London and Scotland. He also volunteers for an artists’ group as curator and organiser.

As a tutor he combines teaching art to Higher and Further Education level at Canterbury College with

coordinating live, community based professional practice projects with other tutors and students. As a curator he currently runs a large gallery space and commercial art fair events at the Landmark Arts Centre in Teddington, Greater London. Ben has a specific interest in gallery education, having studied extensively in this area. He also has experience working with other art companies to promote gallery education including Strange Cargo in Folkestone,
the Folkestone Triennial, Canterbury Festival and various educational institutions in and around Canterbury.

Hatem Imam

​

Is a visual artist and designer. His work includes print media, installation, photography, video,and painting. He is the creative director of Studio Safar, a board member of the 98weeks research project, the artistic director of Annihaya record label, and a founding member of the art collective AtfalAhdath. In 2007, he co-founded Samandal comics magazine, of which he is co-editor in chief. He is also a part-time lecturer at thedepartment of Architecture and Graphic Design at the American University of Beirut. www.studiosafar.com

Marion Fullerton​

 

is practicing artist and mature student entering the final year of a six year part time BA (Hons)Fine Art

degree at UCA, Canterbury. She has undertaken voluntary work in primary schools and is trained as
learning support assistant working with children aged 4 – 16 years old. Previous work has included community
arts projects such a mural to enhance an inner city school, and Farningham Hobby Horses, a project to celebrate
Farningham’s history shown by the Kent Cultural Baton, a travelling public artwork that travelled around Kent in
the lead up to London 2012. Marion is a member Sevenoaks Visual Arts Forum, an artist led initiative that offers
artists and makers an opportunity to meet, discuss their work, support each other and network.

Harriet Gifford​​

 

is a photographer, fine artist and filmmaker. Currently studying for an MA in Sound and Image at the University of Kent, UK. With BA (Hons) in Fine Art and a Bsc (Hons) in Occupational Therapy. Working and exhibiting in the UK and abroad since 1991 she has also held various volunteer and paid posts as gallery assistant and technician. ​Harriet is a committee member of Ashford Visual Artists; a group of professional artist promoting the arts in Ashford in Kent.

Paula Trower

​

is a visual artist based in North Kent. She has experience in running publically funded regenerationprojects, specifically on the Isle of Sheppey, Swale. With a BA (Hons) in Fine Art Paula teaches drawing, paintingand sculpture to both groups and individuals, to all age groups and abilities. Paula is an active part of ‘MakingArt Work’ and ‘Swale Arts Forum’, two artist led groups bringing contemporary art awareness to the Maidstone andSittingbourne in Kent through ‘Pop-Up Workshops and Galleries’. She currenly holds a current CRB Certificate towork with children.
